FOTD with Fanny Serrano Palette

Sorry, this was done at bedtime before I slept.  Some people do looks when they wake up, I do looks before I sleep most of the time, hahaha!  So forgive me for my very at home getup.  I did a Face Of the Day look with a brand of makeup by local Filipino makeup artist Fanny Serrano.  I will post pictures of the palette I used below. This is also my first official attempt to put on false eyelashes on myself.  I used Fashion 21 lashes and cut them in half to put on the outer corners of my eyes.  To glue them on I used Aido eye putty lash glue.  Fashion 21 is the brand that manufactures the makeup line of Fanny Serrano, but note please that the FS (Fanny Serrano) line is separate from the F21 line.  By the way none of the photos on my blog are digitally enhanced or corrected.
I don’t have Photoshop on my laptop because I haven’t saved enough yet for the original software (be legal and buy original!).  So I make sure to take good pictures and just crop them and put text if I have to using Microsoft Paint (haha so primitive ba) under Accesories in your program menu, if you use Windows.

Order from left: 1st 2 colors top row of palette, last 2 colors bottom row of palette.

I found  that this eyeshadow product was very pigmented and blendable and I’m happy about the value for money I got, I found these at SM Department store in MOA for about Php 599.00) On my face I have Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer in Nude, Pixi Flawless beauty primer on my cheeks and on my lips Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited 908 topped with Fyrinnae Lip Lustre in Lace Gloves.  I used Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama cream eyeliner and CoverGirl Lash Blast Mascara on both my natural and false lashes after I curled them together.  For the metallic hints on the eyes (bright blue and gold) and dabbed just a hint of 2 colors from my 4U2 palette from Watsons which I also blogged about recently.

So what do you think about this look?  Don’t you think the Fanny Serrano palette deserves a round of applause?  I think it does.  My only minor complaint is a bit of fallout upon application, but the colors and blending quality of this eyeshadow set get a thumbs up from me!

    Hi Julia!

First of all, seriously, you are the LAST person i thought would be interested in makeup. You honestly do not need it! But yeah, it’s fun. 🙂

FS has really good quality makeup and trivia: their eyelash curler is fashioned after shu uemura’s. Two years ago, that palette only costs less than P400. And according to my teacher in CAS, FS is really value for money. If there’s one local brand to support, it is FS.

Congratulations on your first attempt to put falsies on your own! It is truly tricky! You did well! My only advice is to put black eyeliner sa upper water line and sa space between the false lashes and the real ones para mas seamless yung blend, para di halata 🙂 connect the black line sa lower waterline sa outer corner of your eyes too.

Your blending is really superb and I just love your skin! Ka-ingget! Loving your blog Julia! keep it up! 🙂

That’s really really beautiful, and the lashes look amazing!

  • Hey Jules! Maybe I missed it, but what’s the lipstick you’re wearing? Love the nude, natural shade and think that works well in our country for everyday wear.
