This was one of my first StrawberryNet purchases. After watching Irene (YouTube user – pinkiecharm) rave repeatedly about Benefit’s Silky Finish Lipstick I was left “curiouser and curiouser”.
I purchased the limited edition shade “Bouquet Dive” from StrawberryNet for about USD $12.50 with free shipping. Sorry for the imperfect top of the product. I ever so intelligently nicked it with the cap, out of excitement and impatience, so I had to use the product on myself already to smooth it out. On my nails is Wet & Wild polish in Pink Petal Glitter from Tinette & Co. Salon.
Bouquet Dive is a bronzey sheer rouge with lots of finely milled shimmer. The amount of shimmer doesn’t overwhelm the beautiful color this has, but I must warn you, the shimmer does transfer like the plague. That’s the only thing I don’t like about this. So I would use this within the soft boundary of a long lasting lipliner, that way, the color stays mainly in the center of your lips. This way you won’t look like you’ve been eating pixie dusted beignets.
See how it shines? It is so strong and smooth upon application, two swipes back and forth is enough to get good color. The shade is beautiful and is pigmented enough to give you a more vibrant lip, but sheer enough to use everyday. It does not apply like a lipgloss. It is a lipstick just not as opaque as some others are. I put it on here as is, without lipliner. Here’s a photo in my room with morning light by a window with a sheer curtain. We’re using the word sheer here a lot.
Here’s what it looks like in more direct daylight.
