Ever Bilena Extreme Lipstick in “Ambrosia”
We don’t have autumn here in the Philippines. We have overcast skies and rain, lots of it. That’s pretty much the only seasonal switch we get here in the tropics, and last week, upon a drugstore hop mom and I did, came another discovery to color my lips during this drab season,
Ever Bilena extreme lipstick in Ambrosia, a mildly gold-laced bronze rouge.
The product design kind of reminds me of Maybelline’s Moisture Extreme lipstick. Below this line, you can already properly see why this color drew me in, for only Php 150.00 or $3.00 US.

The color itself boasts originality. When you first open the cap you can’t quite put your finger on whether it’s a brown, red, or deep orange or golden shade. The most apt word I could think of so far in reference to the color is “rust”. It’s somewhat like Royal Rust or Pixie Dust Rust. The texture is soft and moisturizing but not exceedingly so. You won’t be getting this on your teeth unless you slather it on excessively. It stays and keeps your lips soft and healthy with Vitamin E. The texture and wear of it is surprisingly as smooth as a Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited lipstick that I own.
The shimmer is mild and becomes sort of an undertone for the Ambrosia shade and it is not “glittery” or “sparkly”. I’m allergic to shimmer that distracts from the actual lipstick color and doesn’t enhance it.
In morning light it gives your lips a healthy, heavenly sheen that isn’t “pearly” or “glossy”. In darker lit places it becomes a rusty rouge that isn’t too dark. The rusty orange tinge gives a lip that boost for autumn or the rainy season.
