Hi gels, I was recently contacted by beauty editor Josephine Pizarro of http://www.yourbeautyschool.com which provides online PR for a thread of beauty schools in New York. She simply and literally “stumbled upon” Bless My Bag online and got interested 🙂 She offered to share about Nail Colors for the “Ber” season in a guest post. I saw no reason why she shouldn’t, don’t we all want some pro tips on some of the season’s hip shades? Apparently she doesn’t think Fall has to be all about everything dark, you can take autumn’s shades at different levels 🙂
Fall And Your Nails: Colors For The Season
Guest poster : Josephine Pizarro
Summertime is coming to an end and the fall season is almost upon us. But don’t worry – we all can still look fabulous even though the weather is colder! Lately I’ve been reexamining my nail polish collection and thinking about which colors to wear for the upcoming fall season. There are so many great options that look stunning on anyone, but let’s look at a few in more specific detail.
Plum is the color of the fall. There are plenty of beautiful varieties of plum available but one of my personal favorites is Revlon Nail Enamel “Plum Baby”.
Lighter plum hues can convey a cute playful look, while darker plum colors can give your hands a fierce yet classy look. If you feel that plum can be too shiny or dark according on your tastes, you can try a lavender color. Lavender is still a fall appropriate color but is a bit lighter than plum tones.
Another color that I personally love all year round but are especially striking during the fall season are blue-gray tones. These blue tones are soothing and understated – not a bad idea for using if you’re out on a first date! Personally I love Yves Saint Laurent but if you’re on a tighter budget MAC also has some comparable choices.
Last, but certainly not least, metallic colors are in: gold, copper and metallic grey shades are colors of choice for many women this season. Metallics are great for a night out on the town. They can convey a sexy, playful look that tells others you don’t take yourself too seriously. My personal favorite has to be Dashing Diva’s metallic grey color “Concrete Playground”. The sparkle is great and makes me feel like a million bucks!
Ladies, whenever you decide to get some new polish for the season, try them all out to see which is best suited for you. The options are endless too. Once you find that perfect outfit to go with your nail polish color, you’re sure to be remembered wherever you go.
