They don’t have to be long to be lovely. 🙂
I decided to glam up my rocker short nails with the pretty Iced Licorice shade by Nubar. It’s shimmery, but uniquely so. You have a ruddy purple fused with gold and silver micro flecks/ shimmer. I do believe that there are certain shades that possess that particular “Oomph!” that sometimes is is a bit too loud for a long nail to the point that it becomes tiring to look at. I tried it on my long nails before I cut them (I do my own nails now, mga 98% of the time) and although it’s still pretty, you’ll see exactly what I mean.
For shades like this, you can stop the pop in it tracks with a well manicured short nail and it gives you just the right a amount of glam, plus you can still go about your daily tasks without the hassle 🙂 I applied two coats over the short nail and three over the long nails to get extreme opacity. Polish application is a bit uneven on the first coat coz of the formula, but it’ still good. Evenness guaranteed on the second coat, my long nails required a third coat for complete opacity over the white nail line. That’s not as obvious over the shorter nail.
NUBAR is a leading nail product specialist in North America. Their polish shades are among the most eclectic and high quality ones abroad. I purchased Iced Licorice off Ebay for Php 428.00 shipping included and it arrived roughly a month after purchasing. Here’s a closer look at the formula in the bottle. The shade is extremely rich and deep, perfect for Fall, and it really makes you look twice. Isn’t it beautiful? It’s like Nubar bottled up some galaxies in a purple potion.
I’ve marked a good ebay seller for polishes I can’t get from the U.S. because of international shipping constraints. A lot of sellers (choose one with a high track record 99% to positive 100% feedback and you’re safe) provide free shipping and reasonable prices and have a super wide selection especially for popular shades like this one.
