If I was going to have my first Butter London polish on this here blog, it had to be something great. This was a no-brainer.
In befitting memoriam of the late, great fashion designer, Alexander McQueen, this complex yet arguably simple and wearable gold-ish greige (grey beige) holographic beauty of a polish achieves luxe sophistication on your fingertips in two coats. Bear in mind, that with this you don’t have chunks of glitter, this contains uber fine micro shimmer or holographic shimmer as was mentioned.
How on earth did I get this you say? I Amazonned it at a total price of around Php600.00 ($14.00) to a friend in the US (hi, Ms. A!!! xoxo )who was super willing to meet up with a common friend who was visiting and coming home. Butter London, however, is a high end UK brand. They are proud of being “3-free” as they call it, being toxin free. The formula has no Formaldehyde, Toluene, or DBPs. First look at it on your nails, you’re wearing a beige grey shade. Second look, there’s something more to it and it isn’t distracting, it’s somewhat mesmerizing, especially if you have a closer inspection.
Wearing one coat is a pretty sheer alternate way to wear it, but I like packing on my polish. Alexander McQueen and his creative genius will be missed.
It’s nice to know that Butter London thought of paying tribute in a simple yet pretty way.
