Have you caught spring fever yet? I think I have.
My temperature’s quite high actually,…

…especially after being inspired by the Derek Lam look for Spring 2011. In my take on the look I blended the coral eyeshadow upwards fading it towards the brows. It’s easy to do this look with this super-duper wonderful…yes, I know, another one (I blogged already about the Contemporary and Impressionist palettes before)…i-Pro palette by 4U2 in Classic, and these are a unbelievably pigmented, gorgeous, completely matte eyeshadows.
Isn’t that pretty? Wait a minute, I’ve seen these colors together often!
Don’t these colors paint a picture like this one in your mind?
This Classic matte eyeshadow palette by 4U2 is my favorite so far. As mattes they’re not chalky, they’re vibrant, smooth, and fallout is minimal. The color payoff is beautiful to work with and blend especially with fingers.
Those workable neutrals and that gorgeous coral red are soooo pretty and that black is soooo…black with a single swipe on the hand! It’s also important to mention that matte shades are great for use on mature skin. People with aging skin and fine lines with parts that sag don’t look too good with super shimmery eyeshadow, so for older women, more often than not, matte eyeshadow finishes are your best bet for a clean polished look. I’ll end with a closer look at the eyes. Sorry didn’t have a decent open eye one, I looked too tired and therefore only these closed eye shots are blogworthy.
In my look I used the white Maybelline 2-in-1 shadow liner for the white around the inner eye area, the camel beige from the left as a base shadow, then I packed on the coral red in the center of the lid and by the lashline then using a fluffy brush I blended from the middle upwards towards the socket to make it fade, I used Muji lipstick to give my lips a neutral boost of color and Japan’s Shiseido Majolica Majorca mascara on my lashes. As for my natural looking foundation, I think I’ll save that for next time :). 4U2 brand cosmetics are available at select SM Watsons outlets for about P900+, but I got mine for free with the SM Gift certificates I won from the Rexona event :). Bless My Bag!
