Happy New Year, everyone! For today, as I am with friends and family, with one member snoring next to me on the couch, I’d like to share this photo of me and my brother in Nueva Ecija (no, we’re not there now 🙂 a few days ago). My grandfather used to mine marble in this area many years ago and this is his land. Doesn’t it look like Africa?
My brother and I are standing on an unrefined slab of a unique kind of pink marble that my Lolo (grandfather) mined once before. He named it Julia Rose marble. Yes, after me! My second name is not Rose, though, ok? LOL! He named the different shades of marble he mined from the quarry after the first few grandchildren he had while he was still mining. He is the sweetest and most stubbornest (LOL wrong grammerz) man. I pray I can be just as stubborn when it comes to fulfilling God’s purpose in my life, and I pray we are blessed with the same bullheaded determination when it comes to our dreams. Happy New Year!
10 This is what the LORD says: “When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my good promise to bring you back to this place. 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
