Make-Up Workshop by MUA Cherry Pacheco sponsored by Becca

I was sent by my boss to pro make-up artist Cherry Pacheco yesterday…and I almost couldn’t believe it, because when I got there…

…to join in her basic make-up workshop…

….the event happened to be sponsored by luxe cosmetics brand, Becca!  That’s what stunned me right when I entered!

That came as an overwhelming surprise for me.  If you haven’t encountered Becca Cosmetics yet it would be safe to say this is a top quality Australian/UK brand comparable to the likes of Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier.  I’m super into these Beach Tint tubes which contain water resistant lip and cheek tint perfect for those summer days just up ahead!

It was actually so timely for me because my friend, Charlotte of Lipglossiping and the Pixiwoo sisters had just recently featured Becca products this month as well.

All three brands mentioned champion the glory of natural, hardly there, but effective make-up in an excellent way.  They believe in the understated elegance of natural beauty.  Continue reading to see more photos of the girls she put make-up on, plus BEFORE and AFTER photos!!

Cherry Pacheco has been doing professional make-up locally for about 5 years now and has an impressive folio site right here at  I must say that her before and after bridal make-up shots are totally impressive and she happens to have done make-up for local celebrities, magazine editorials, and even brands like Pond’s.  She also used to be an in-house make-up artist for luxe beauty brand Paul & Joe.   Have a quick peek at Cherry’s professional kit!

At the workshop yesterday, we were shown the fundamentals of make-up and how to apply simple day and evening looks.  She started with a day look on this lady.

and presenting her before and after shot…

See that natural glow and how much fuller her brows are?  Cherry demonstrated that a fresh day look can be done with 5 products:

1.) Eyebrow pencil/ eyebrow powder

2.)  Base product: Powder, Tinted Moisturizer, or a light foundation

3.) Blush

4.) Lipcolor

5.) Mascara

Here in this second collage, Cherry demonstrated a simple evening look with smoky eyes and light contouring techniques.

and what’s amazing about this look is…in the before and after shot…

…she suddenly looks like a young Charo Santos!!!  I took these shots during the actual workshop promise…I was also thankful there was a whiteboard behind them, perfect background for these before and after shots.  Oh and what about me, well I did some makeup on myself as well, using several Becca products…I only color corrected this photo because the actual photo was too greenish…just canceled out the excess green in the digital channels using Gimp (opensource).

PRODUCTS USED: Becca Tinted Moisturizer in Nude, Becca sheer powder, Becca Concealer, Becca Beach Tint on lips, my own Rock & Republic blush, my own Avon Supershock eyeliner, and Becca Tinted Lipgloss. 4U2 matte eyeshadow, no mascara.

Plus the people of Becca were so generous, they let us workshoppers each walk away with…

their SPF30 Mineral Primer (matte finish anti-oxidant and vitamin packed makeup base) and…

this beautiful Glossy Lip Tint, I got the shade “Granita”.  It was as a whole a truly, truly fun and wonderful day.  Thanks again, Cherry :).  Becca products are available only at Adora GB5 and I’ll tell you now, that yes, Becca is expensive, just like Bobbi and Laura (Becca, Bobbi, and Laura, they sound like sisters).  If you’re an online shopper you can try, they carry Becca products and they ship speedily and safely from HK to the Philippines and other countries worldwide for free 🙂
