Shiseido Spring 2011, Rouge Enamel Glamour – Phenomenal lasting lipcolor

Mom took a bit of compassion and bestowed that on me last week after I encountered a small series of managerial challenges at the salon that I manage. However, I am still having a ton of fun in this new realm of beauty that I’ve only just entered, and my mother surprised me with a little treat to encourage me to just keep swimming and also to help Japan in her own little way.

These two gorgeous lippies are from Shiseido’s 2011 Spring collection.  Meet Rouge Enamel Glamour in BE759 (a nude beige) and RD201 (a coral fuschia shade).  The BE759 one belongs to mom, but she threw it my way momentarily for the sake of blogging.

What truly captivated me about these two products is the dual ended feature.  On one side you have a long-lasting, semi-matte lip creme.  In fact, this product stays on so well that Mom testified she had it on through a full meal and there was no need to retouch through the rest of the day.  Continue reading to see swatches and me wearing both these colors!

The creme color looks wet when applied then you just have to wait 1 to 2 minutes and don’t blot or press your lips together till after, and watch the color set, turn semi-matte, and cling fast to your lips.

On the other side, this has a lipgloss to top it off your lipcolor if you wish.  I prefer it though without the gloss, like so.

This is Shiseido Maquillage Rouge Enamel Glamour in BE 759…and…

the ravishing RD201 that mom picked out for me.  See how great the semi-matte but not dry looking finish is?  Then this is what the lipgloss end looks like…

…and on the lips at parties this can give you a bit more of an illusion of juicy plumpness.  See?

Shiseido Rouge Enamel Glamour lipcolor isn’t cheap.  It’s priced at Php1800.00 and is available at Shiseido boutiques nationwide, there is one commonly known to be at Greenbelt 5, Makati.  My overall review ranks this product really high.  The color sinks into your lips and sticks really fast without the sticky feeling once it’s set, and its matteness isn’t the dry sort, but if you have sensitive lips I suggest exfoliation and moisture prepping before applying this beautiful lip product on. 🙂
