I never planned to road test any anti-aging products on myself. Essentially I still haven’t at all except for the eye cream I use, but I had a willing candidate for this Olay review, my mother who used Olay nourishing face lotions for many years in the past. Olay kindly sent me a bottle of their Regenerist Wrinkle Relaxing cream, a breakthrough anti-aging moisturizer which is supposed to hydrate, nourish, soothe the skin and reduce the blatant appearance of lines and wrinkles and show results within a window of 10 minutes from the first application, I’ve got you now, huh?
“Regenerist’s revolutionary wrinkle fighter combines Olay moisture with advanced micro fillers to smooth skin’s surface, relaxing the appearance of wrinkles while the formula with biopeptides + a B3 complex hydrates to reduce the appearance of even deep lines in 14 days **, *vs other Olay Anti-aging products **with continuous use “
I made my mom try this from the morning of April 16. We began by taking a photo of her without the product at all and with the product applied after 5-10mins. Read more to get the full post and review.
We had no lighting setup here, only morning light from the windows. I didn’t direct her in any way and simply shot the photos.
For the 4 days that followed Mom observed a firming result without any sting or allergic reaction. The hydration was good and lines and wrinkles were less visible. Being a claustrophobic person though she admitted to her face feeling a bit tight, but in a good way like something visibly firming was taking place. Here is her photo after 4 days of use.
Mom claims there was no tingling or stinging feeling and her face felt smoother, younger, firmer, more lifted in appearance and ready for makeup to go on top. I tried the product only on my chin and in spite of the strong fragrance I didn’t experience any allergic reaction or breakout. Its effect does sort of remind me of Benefit Porefessional primer or Becca’s Line and Wrinkle reducing primer but the difference is this non-greasy, anti-aging moisturizer contains the advanced, skin-nourishing benefits of Olay.
INGREDIENTS: Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerin, Polyethylene, Niacinamide, Propylene Glycol, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Dimethicone Cross Polymer, Dimethicone, Panthenol, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Polyacrylamide, Tocopheryl Acetate, C13-14 Isoparaffin, DMDM Hydantoin, Allantoin, Carnosine, Laureth-4, Laureth-7, Citric Acid, Fragrance, Disodium EDTA, Yeast Extract, Titanium Dioxide, PEG-100 Stearate, Butylene Glycol, Benzyl Alcohol, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4
The cream is a simple fluffy silky, souffle texture which is highly fragrant, yes, not fragrance-free. It smells like a clean floral laundered scent, the type you would usually associate with facial products available. She applied makeup over it in the days that followed which leads me to suggest it’s great as a face primer as well beneath makeup because it’s non greasy. My mother mentioned that the feel is very “silicone-y” and smooth, not greasy at all and according to her it feels oil-free. Overall she liked how it hydrated her skin without irritating it and how it smoothed away the appearance of heavy stress on her face. Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Relaxing cream is now available in Watsons outlets and department stores that carry Olay products at the SRP of Php1499.
