Blogs are buzzing about this whole range! Buzzzz!! What drew me in was the idea of a skincare range targeted for young adults living and working in a stressful environment, and it’s great that it’s a non-whitening alternative. Think about it as preventive skincare for the young adults held captive by day to day duties at the expense of their skin. If you’re nowhere near middle-aged but want to begin protecting / maintaining what you have and somehow have been put off by whitening ranges this particularly nourishing and hydrating range is for you. Behold the new Shiseido Ibuki Skincare range, a range truly says “Made in Japan”.
Shiseido Ibuki’s formulas help build skin’s resistance to UV rays, dryness and daily stress by infusing it with long-lasting moisture. Shiseido’s exclusive technology puts your skin in a super-hydrated state, so it can maintain a healthy, more radiant glow. “The Ibuki line helps prevent all this damage by training the skin-barrier cells to remember their healthy shape. In clinical studies, after four weeks on the regimen (testers used the Gentle Cleanser, Softening Concentrate, and Refining Moisturizer every day), subjects’ skin barrier was stronger and had a higher resistance to external damage—meaning less moisture loss, fewer free radicals, and protected collagen and elastin stores.-Allure”
Lamium album flower extract (a.k.a. white nettle extract, which hydrates); trehelose, glycerin, and dimethicone (moisturizers); citrus junos seed extract (a.k.a. yuzu seed extract, which boosts collagen)
“I have never seen ingredients that help cells keep their shape as a way of reducing stress or aging. It’s a novel approach, and the results are impressive,” says Doris Day, a clinical associate professor of dermatology at New York University Langone Medical Center. And while it may be most beneficial to younger women, “this line addresses a depleted skin barrier, which we are increasingly realizing can make skin of any age more vulnerable to damage,” says Ranella Hirsch, an assistant clinical professor of dermatology at Boston University School of Medicine.” – expert source, Allure Magazine online.
AWARDED Alllure Magazine’s “Best of Beauty Breakthrough” Product for 2013
Lots of young women avoid trying more intense anti-aging products simply because the products are too rich or potent for their milder protection needs. What are younger women to do to prevent early damage other than rely on sunscreen, moisturizer and supplements? I do believe Shiseido Ibuki has now helped fill the gap in the market. Samples of these have gone up on Sampleroom.ph
and right now I see there are still several samples left last I checked (the set and Softening lotion which I liked during my facial). So far I’ve put on the moisturizer and eye cream, tried the Softening lotion during the launch facial (my runner up fave), and I do believe I’ve fallen FOR THAT EYE CREAM, look naman at that awesome choice of packaging. Thank you, Lord for a TUBE instead of a pot for the eyes and I love the rich hydrating feel of it! Y’all know how unfaithful I can be with eye creams, I just end up failing to commit. In tube packaging like this though I think I can turn over a new leaf so expect a separate review for this eye cream after a week or so. By the way I’m going to request some help from you my beloved readers. There will be a separate giveaway contest post including this image also coming soon (still fixing the mechanics) but I’ve decided to kickoff the campaigning as early as now. You see, I’ve been given the chance to go to Japan but I need the help of my beloved readers, family, and friends to make it possible. First off please help me regram, instagram, Tweet, or retweet this image with the 3 hashtags I mention below.
From now until October 31 I’ll be creating lots of buzz (in between of course other brand reviews), plus even a simple contest with prizes, and you can actually help possibly send me to Japan by helping Instagram, regram, tweet or retweet any of my Shiseido Ibuki Instagram posts with the official hashtags #BlessmybagIbuki to identify that you’re campaigning for me and also important the #shiseidoIbuki #ibukibeautiful and #readyforanythingSkin hashtags :). I’ll be creating a separate special contest post with prizes in store to further promote this campaign to try and get me to Japan (I’m being totally honest with you guys) so stay tuned for that and I’ll be explaining more about the use of “BeautyBios” in instagram to be part of that simple contest. So stay tuned for that. In the meantime please help me tweet and retweet using the hashtags #BlessmybagIbuki #ShiseidoIbuki and #readyforanythingskin all together. Love you all!! A few hints on the upcoming giveaway post to support the campaign to send me to Japan, the prizes including meeting me, me providing a service and you getting featured on the blog :). More details very, very soon.
