On Thanksgiving Let’s Reward Giving! | An SMS Donation Drive & GoodWorks Bracelets Giveaway

NOTE: Giveaway open NATIONWIDE…

Thanksgiving is coming up on November 28…and it’s hard to process but there are a lot of people locally who have lost more than anyone else can imagine after Typhoon Haiyan aka Yolanda hit our country.  There are many dazed and confused people and many refugees who even flocked to Manila upon arriving hadn’t bathed, eaten, or slept after losing loved ones.  I thought of ways to help and relief organizations are currently overwhelmed with volunteers in many areas.  Now I mentioned on Instagram that I wasn’t comfortable doing a Blog Sale, but I thought about it and I’ve come up with a way to inspire giving and reward givers in a different way that will bless their hearts DAILY, you’ll see what I have in store in a moment, we’ll use Rafflecopter again to make it simple and FAIR.  First off I’d like to say this,  I trust Red Cross organizations flat out simply because of their on-ground operations, international recognition, and I like that they give updates.  Here are some recent updates posted on the Red Cross Philippines site so far and the work they are continuing to do.  Now, here follows the sincere inspiration slash encouragement for donors.

GOOD WORKS BRACELETS GIVEAWAY/DONATION DRIVE:

GW_dondrive_01

Now here’s part of the inspiration, apart from giving out of the goodness of your heart I’d like to encourage you and inspire you with this positive incentive, Good Works bracelets!  They’ve got positive words from start to finish, the ones I chose are real leather (but they’ve also got fake leather for vegans), are made in the US, worn by some celebrities  and just completely inspiring.  What better way to reward giving with good words by Good Works!  The reason I chose these Good Works bracelets as a reward for giving is simply because they’re inspiring, they’re swag (in other words not “baduy”), they’re positive and you can share the warmth just by flashing your wrist, and if wrapped properly you can stack your favorite words :).  These bracelets are special because THEY’RE NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN RETAIL LOCALLY.  I bought these with my own money and my supplier Ria gave me a discount as part of her donation for this donation drive effort.  I will be giving away 6 of these, the 6 winners will be chosen by Rafflecopter from giveaway participants!

I’m thankful for the resilience and grace if the Filipino people. I come from Zamboanga (which members of the MNLF under Misuari’s command recently attacked). Zamboanga is going to recover from what happened, just as the areas affected by Yolanda will. Adversity brings out the best in Filipinos.:)

I am thankful that me and my husband are able to provide for our family. There have been a lot of unplanned things that happened to us for the past two years yet we still stood up to the challenge. I feel blessed that I can see that our family has been living a simple life yet very happy. :)

I am thankful for good health, that I haven’t caught a flu that knocked me down. Also I’m thankful for my new cat. She’s smart, playful, so sweet that sometimes it hurts (clawing, biting..). She never fails to make my family laugh, she’s our stress reliever.

I am thankful for all the kind soul that have helped our family. We are from Roxas City, badly hit by the typhoon yet we can see how our most loved workers are willing to help us rebuild our villa, inspite of them losing their own homes. So know our family helps them rebuild their homes too. All glory to God for protecting my family and for his great love that gives us strength and courage amidst trial times.

I am thankful for the gift of life. It was almost taken away from me twice, but God never left me. I am thankful that He gave me an opportunity to reach out to our nation, one news story at a time. I am grateful for my ever supportive and loving family.

No matter what, there is always something to be thankful for. It is so heartwarming to know that there are a lot of people who care and show their support for the Philippines especially at this time. Among many other things, I am so thankful for the good souls out there!

I am thankful most especially for the littlest things — the fact that I have a roof over my head, I have wonderful parents and a loving sister, I have food on the table, I have a dog that loves me and keeps me company. There are times that I am so exhausted with work (and sometimes even pissed!) but in the end, I realize that I should be thankful that at the end of the day we are safe, healthy, and a complete family :)

I am thankful for my husband who has remained patient and understanding despite my sometimes irrational behavior and rollercoaster emotions during the progress of my pregnancy this year. I am thankful that my family has remained healthy!
