MY KOREAN FACIAL VLOG AT ORACLE AESTHETIC CLINIC

It took awhile but my vlog on my Korean Facial experience at Oracle Aesthetic Clinic, the world’s leading Korean dermatological and surgical beauty clinic finally uploaded without errors or freeze-frames.  You can read all about them here.  As I write this part of the paragraph, the internet, it seems, at the moment has taken the quickest route to sabotage my smooth upload moment.  The upload has stopped twice and been reset twice on YouTube.  It’s moving slowly now and finally progressing.  Oracle Skin Clinic is a Korean chain of dermatological clinics acclaimed by their  use of advanced technology, their trust in medical expertise, and their application of gentle skincare products in their treatments.

When my aunts had a sister sweep of the facials halfway in they were already thanking my mother for recommending the clinic because they were raving that it was the best facial experience they’d ever had.  One of those aunts of mine has even more sensitive skin than mine and is married to a German so her standards are wayy up there, but she was the first one to say it was the best.  I got my slot a few days later on Black Saturday and I opted for the Korean Facial treatment with no extractions.  Read on to see a few more shots of my aunts during their facial experiences at Oracle Skin Clinic before watching my vlog video at the end of this post.

MY MORNING SKINCARE ROUTINE

Hi, at long last I got a video up!  The camera work on my Morning Skincare Routine video is a bit shaky sorry about that but Mom really did her best, she helped me that morning get it done, God bless her.  Drink Bonamine nalang before watching, lol.

COMFY OVERNIGHT CONFIDENCE WITH MODESS | Ad

I have those days when I’m just not sure, don’t you?  However, there are some things that have stayed constant in my life through the years, like the product I’m mentioning today.  Even if it is a sort of an “unmentionable” hey, this is a REAL ladies’ blog and for ladies sometimes life doesn’t get any more real and hazy for us than when our periods swing ’round.  Yes, I said the P word.

I don’t like to be constantly checking during that time.  Real challenges require real confidence and confidence does grow where reassurance is sown.  Read on to see what provides my overnight reassurance.

HOW I USE THE ALPHA-H GENTLE DAILY EXFOLIANT

This isn’t a liquid acid toner like Alpha-H’s liquid gold glycolic exfoliant.  At first, when I purchased the Alpha-H Gentle Daily Exfoliant (with Kaolin clay and Papaya and Pineapple enzymes) on sale last year via Luxola (which is now Sephora PH) I was hoping it was sort of a “milder” version of Liquid Gold, for sensitive skin perhaps.  It is a more gentle product but in a totally different department.  It wasn’t what I expected (imagine my surprise upon seeing it was in powder form) but I’m not disappointed.

ALPHAH_dailyexfoliant_01

Alpha-H Gentle Daily Exfoliant w/ Papaya & Pineapple Php2345 from SEPHORA PH (that’s the regular price, I got it on sale last year for about Php1500 or less, or you could sign up then wait and see if they still do the birthday discount 🙂  I availed of a 20% birthday discount last year when it was still Luxola.)

INGREDIENTS:

Kaolin, Solum Diatomeae, Bentonite, Maltodextrin, Ananas Sativus Fruit Extract, Carica Papaya Fruit Juice, Citric Acid, CI 77891.

Technically, this is what we would call a quick, rinse-off mask but then it doesn’t quite coagulate like one, it sits on the skin deeply but doesn’t harden because application is thin.  It’s simpler and much more gentle since you don’t keep it on for long.  Read on to see what it looks like and see an instructional video.

THE BEST BODY CREAM I’VE TRIED BY NUXE

That title is probably the heaviest claim on the lightest and nicest non-sticky but deeply penetrating body cream I’ve ever put on.  The best part is, the Nuxe Body Fondant Firming Cream smells of the spicy, slightly floral warmth of summer, too, with almond and orange flower petals.  The scent is attractive but not overwhelming, the texture is buttery but not greasy, win.  Straight up, no questions asked, this is an expensive product but for a body cream with this quality and effect I would eventually save to repurchase it if I ran out.  The texture is too dreamy to describe in full with words.  You have to try it.

NUXE BODY FONDANT FIRMING CREAM (No.1 firming care product in French pharmacies) Php2250 for 200ml from Rustan’s the Beauty Source.

“This double-acting firming and anti-ageing body cream with Orange Blossom and Almond Blossom petals has an instant firming effect. Its divine texture is perfect for massaging into target areas which have started to sag (thighs, stomach, chest and arms). It quickly sinks in, leaving skin soft, firm and more toned.”

I wouldn’t vouch for its firming effects on body sagging.  I just love how it smells and makes my skin feel softly nourished.  On the whole I’ve always been a body cream skeptic, especially in this humid country where anything heavy and sticky eventually takes the backseat on the shelf.  At first you say upon opening a tub of cream, “Oh this is lovely, and it smells nice…” but usually only time and how empty that huge pot or jar is will tell how well it was really working for you.  In tropical beauty a lot of tubs of heavy cream go unloved and unfinished.  On the contrary, I have a massive feeling that by the end of summer this tub of mine will be halfway gone.  I’ve reapplied it twice since I first tried it this afternoon and rubbed it onto my mother’s shins just to have another excuse to apply some more before this post, and I’ve reapplied it just now on myself.  Read on for the full post.
