I absolutely waited for this.  I nagged Pao and Sam Valenciano, ever so dear to me, about when it was coming out, it was shown at the wedding but it wasn’t as complete then as it is now, now it’s perfect.  At the time I asked, Paolo said they were still fine tuning it before sharing online.

There are some wedding videos that make an impact even on people who don’t know the couple personally and even make strangers cry, and I’m sure this one is exactly that.  It captures the exact mood and embodies the everlasting love, childlike humor, and solid friendship we all experienced during their union last February 7, 2013.

The cinematography just grabs you and pulls you into the wedding with the magic of Bob Nicolas and his onsite team.  Of course the direction and comments on the edit by Pao, the groom (who is also an editor) make all the difference.  Watching this video FULLSCREEN is the closest experience to being at their wedding if you weren’t there. When I was much, much younger I was still an only child and I often got lonely, but then again, later on, not all the time really.  A year and a half into my life God blessed me with a cousin named Paolo Valenciano who’s now engaged to be married next February! <3.

The other night, under his fiancee Sam’s command, we usual suspects banded together to surprise him three days before his actual birthday because he’s set to leave for a show in Singapore.  I just finished editing a behind the scenes video of what took place that night.  You might see some familiar or medyo sikat faces…what I observed after making the video was how laid back and relaxed everyone was.  That’s the Paolo vibe taking over, really, because needless to say my cousin is just one really cool dude who is loved by so many.  God bless you, Pao, we labshu, enjoy your BIG day tomorrow!  Everyone, enjoy this video and celebrate again with us

Watch and hear this ancient video of Elizabeth Arden herself speaking on the eradication of old 1890′s Victorian style posture and the renaissance of posture in the new century with the support of proper exercise.  What a gem of a video and I couldn’t help but giggle at the way these women were exercising on the beach, but in fairness I do want to get my splits and handstands back eventually.  Temptation Island, anyone?

Base: MUD Make Up Designory Cream Foundation applied with Charm Luxe Flat Top brush

What a lot of people haven’t realized locally about  kabuki and big dense buffing brushes is they can be used for cake/cream/liquid bases as well and not just for mineral and powder foundation.  Lisa made that point in her Minimal Makeup video.  In fact brushes like this one do a good job of bringing out the pristine quality of these foundations because briskly but gently buffing in a circular motion over the skin warms up the product and applies it in a way that doesn’t “mask” your entire face.  I’m even inclined to call the buffing method kind of a “manual” airbrush technique because people have asked me before if I used an airbrush to apply my makeup because they thought I did.  Here’s a simple HD video demo of one way I do just my base using the Charm Luxe Flat Top brush and a few other products.

It was high time that the masterful makeup artist Lisa Eldridge let her popularly talented MUA (makeup artist)  friends have a go.  She’s announced setting them loose on her channel so expect lots more  exciting videos to see on there in the coming months.  The first makeup master to make a tutorial appearance on Lisa’s YouTube channel is none other than world-renowned MUA, Charlotte Tilbury.
