THE BEST BODY CREAM I’VE TRIED BY NUXE

That title is probably the heaviest claim on the lightest and nicest non-sticky but deeply penetrating body cream I’ve ever put on.  The best part is, the Nuxe Body Fondant Firming Cream smells of the spicy, slightly floral warmth of summer, too, with almond and orange flower petals.  The scent is attractive but not overwhelming, the texture is buttery but not greasy, win.  Straight up, no questions asked, this is an expensive product but for a body cream with this quality and effect I would eventually save to repurchase it if I ran out.  The texture is too dreamy to describe in full with words.  You have to try it.

NUXE BODY FONDANT FIRMING CREAM (No.1 firming care product in French pharmacies) Php2250 for 200ml from Rustan’s the Beauty Source.

“This double-acting firming and anti-ageing body cream with Orange Blossom and Almond Blossom petals has an instant firming effect. Its divine texture is perfect for massaging into target areas which have started to sag (thighs, stomach, chest and arms). It quickly sinks in, leaving skin soft, firm and more toned.”

I wouldn’t vouch for its firming effects on body sagging.  I just love how it smells and makes my skin feel softly nourished.  On the whole I’ve always been a body cream skeptic, especially in this humid country where anything heavy and sticky eventually takes the backseat on the shelf.  At first you say upon opening a tub of cream, “Oh this is lovely, and it smells nice…” but usually only time and how empty that huge pot or jar is will tell how well it was really working for you.  In tropical beauty a lot of tubs of heavy cream go unloved and unfinished.  On the contrary, I have a massive feeling that by the end of summer this tub of mine will be halfway gone.  I’ve reapplied it twice since I first tried it this afternoon and rubbed it onto my mother’s shins just to have another excuse to apply some more before this post, and I’ve reapplied it just now on myself.  Read on for the full post.

Human Nature Eucalyptus Hand & Foot Salve – Smells Like…

…as in seriously smells like Storck Eucalyptus Menthol candies which bear an intense blast of the past for me.  One whiff of this locally available hand & foot cream by Human Nature as you put it on and you will tell me “OMIGAWRSH, yes!” just as my mom and fellow bloggers did when I said so to them at a recent gathering.

Contains Eucalyptus essential oil plus oregano, spearmint, lemon balm extracts and a cooling sensation brought on by menthol, with coconut/palm derived glycerin and sunflower seed oil to hydrate hands and feet.

100% NO HARMFUL CHEMICALS – Free of parabens, mineral oil, silicones, pthalates and other toxins.

I’ll be honest when I say I wish there was more to it than its incredibly nostalgic scent, but a note on that is there’s that lemon note at the end that doesn’t quite land smoothly scent-wise, kind of like an off-tangent sour note after the refreshing whiff of eucalyptus.  I put this on and I was like “Omg, Storck!” then when that moment passed I was like “Hmmm, okayyy…nothing significantly holy grail like on the skin…”  It does the job of moisturizing, but not in a more impressive way than any other low to mid-range hand lotion.  At the back of your mind you might feel better about it being toxin-free and smelling uniquely uplifting, but I definitely want effects that I can feel pronto and not just something to slather on.  They say it’s because of “synthetic feel modifiers” that other products feel great on the skin but I don’t agree with that entirely because I have tried organic stuff that does give me supple payoff.  For the price of Php130.00 , I think it’s generally a good buy, especially for people who easily experience nausea and need some aromatherapy to put on to take dryness dizziness away.  You can purchase this from the Human Nature site here, local delivery.… To full post & COMMENTS...

OLAY Regenerist Wrinkle Relaxing Cream – Mom gives it a go for 4 days

I never planned to road test any anti-aging products on myself.  Essentially I still haven’t at all except for the eye cream I use, but I had a willing candidate for this Olay review, my mother who used Olay nourishing face lotions for many years in the past.  Olay kindly sent me a bottle of their Regenerist Wrinkle Relaxing cream, a breakthrough anti-aging moisturizer which is supposed to hydrate, nourish, soothe the skin and reduce the blatant appearance of lines and wrinkles and show results within a window of 10 minutes from the first application, I’ve got you now, huh?

“Regenerist’s revolutionary wrinkle fighter combines Olay moisture with advanced micro fillers to smooth skin’s surface, relaxing the appearance of wrinkles while the formula with biopeptides + a B3 complex hydrates to reduce the appearance of even deep lines in 14 days **, *vs other Olay Anti-aging products  **with continuous use “

I made my mom try this from the morning of April 16.  We began by taking a photo of her without the product at all and with the product applied after 5-10mins.  Read more to get the full post and review.
