I told you that at my cuz Paolo Valenciano’s wedding I was too lazy as part of the entourage to be shooting with a full throttle camera the whole time, much less holding one…so I didn’t. I also couldn’t be bothered with taking pics of myself because I was having too much of a blast observing my station as a bridesmaid, mingling, eating, laughing, and whatevs…I also wasn’t seated with any of my much younger cousins that evening so forget about group photos with the baby bunch. What I nearly forgot amidst the blur of celebration that evening was that there was a photo booth (I was like “oh yeaaaaaaaaaa, there was one”)…and that I had 2 pictures taken with my cousin KC (mom is Tito Kiko’s older sister) who was seated at the same table right before I accompanied her to her car. It was so late I’d forgotten that we had that photo moment…then these popped up on Facebook. Tada! And yes, I did my own makeup I’m so happy we have these to keep.
The married couple, Pao & Sam Valenciano.
Somewhere at home there are exactly two photos of me and KC also shot back to back when I was 11 and she was 9 and I was still taller than her (straightens back). It would have made a great throwback, but like I said…it’s somewhere.
Today only has yesterday in it because I’ve got no time for a very good reason. First, here is my Outfit Of YesterDay.
Necklace: M|phosis, Earrings: MBMJ, Top: Cotton On, horse print, Feather Belt: CPS/Chaps, Pants: H&M Super Low Skinny, Snakeprint wash detail, Heels: Renegade Folk
In all honesty i was in Payless flats throughout the day and I slapped on heels for the purpose of Instagramming. Here is my valid reason for today’s hasty, albeit thrown together post.
It’s my mom’s birthday! Happy Birthday to my human earth shuttle (how I got here), my teacher, friend, sister, my confidant, my confident (LOL), my blog proofreader, typo sniper, meal maker and Spiritual model.
I know I’m driving you nuts, (and will soon literally “drive you” nuts) but don’t worry I’ll be sikat soon. I’m working on it, love you, Mom ♥ Look! Malapit na me mag 1000 followered. Typos just for yours, Happy Birthed Day!… Read the rest
When I was much, much younger I was still an only child and I often got lonely, but then again, later on, not all the time really. A year and a half into my life God blessed me with a cousin named Paolo Valenciano who’s now engaged to be married next February! <3.
The other night, under his fiancee Sam’s command, we usual suspects banded together to surprise him three days before his actual birthday because he’s set to leave for a show in Singapore. I just finished editing a behind the scenes video of what took place that night. You might see some familiar or medyo sikat faces…what I observed after making the video was how laid back and relaxed everyone was. That’s the Paolo vibe taking over, really, because needless to say my cousin is just one really cool dude who is loved by so many. God bless you, Pao, we labshu, enjoy your BIG day tomorrow! Everyone, enjoy this video and celebrate again with us
Now, let’s see if I can get a trend going. Quite a few have failed in the past and others are just disgustingly delayed (like the In Her Bag interviews, trying to secure another one after Donita). Weekly or perhaps monthly I shall try to post lovely photos sans the makeup of different faces in different places, young or old doesn’t matter. First for this one is a photo that’s a decade old, I was 19 and with my aunts, Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan and Sharon Cuneta-Pangilinan, whose husbands are mom’s brothers. Here is a photo my mom pulled out of a box today unretouched and very precious.
Whenever they’re with us they don’t wear makeup, most of the time not even cologne or fragrance, at the most maybe they’ve got moisturizer, mascara (hardly ever), and lip balm on. They really only wear makeup when they’re working and up to this day, their faces are still flawless. I’m even more “vanedosa” than they are and find myself having to tone my random fussy self down around them because of their up front simplicity. These two lovelies, in spite of what people preconceive about them from time to time, are not fussy bout skincare and makeup and not even beauty obsessed. They’re more into God, the Bible, worship music, their husbands, lulling their children to sleep, books, the kitchen, and gadgets that help them through the day. Like everyone under the sun, they’re not perfect and will never admit to being so and I love and am truly inspired by both of them. May God’s love, protection, and grace shine upon them always.… Read the rest
